ஆனால் அதற்கான சாத்தியங்கள் இல்லை என்று இப்போது உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன.
ஆனால் இக்கல் நிலவு மீது மோத வாய்ப்பு இருப்பது உறுதியாகியுள்ளது.
நிலவை இக்கல் 2032ம் ஆண்டு தாக்கலாம். முதன் முதலில் இக்கல் கடந்த ஆண்டு டிசம்பரில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்பட்டது.
நிலவுடன் ஒப்பிடும்போது இக்கல், மிகவும் எடை குறைந்தது. எனவே பெரிய பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தாது. எனவே அச்சப்பட வேண்டியதில்லை என்று விஞ்ஞானிகள் கூறியுள்ளனர்.
ஆனால் சில தனியார் விண்வெளி ஆய்வாளர்கள், இக்கல் நிலவு மீது மோதும்போது நிலவு பூமியை விட்டு மேலும் விலகி செல்ல வாய்ப்பு இருப்பதாக கூறுகிறார்கள். அப்படி நடந்தால், அதன் விளைவுகளை பூமி எதிர்கொள்ள வேண்டி இருக்கும்.
நிலவின் ஈர்ப்பு விசையால் கடல் அலைகள் உருவாகின்றன. நிலவு இல்லையெனில், சூரியனின் ஈர்ப்பு மட்டுமே அலைகளை உருவாக்கும், இதனால் அலைகள் மிகவும் பலவீனமாகவும் ஒழுங்கற்றதாகவும் இருக்கும்.
